HE Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi

Serves as Director General of General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) since 2008.
Appointed for 2010-2012 and re-elected for 2012-2014 as a Chairman of Arab Civil Aviation Commission Council.
Graduated as a helicopter pilot from flying school in Abu Dhabi. Since then, handled a number of key positions in the Air Force Headquarter until he reached the rank of Major General Air Marshal, served during his career several leadership positions until assigned as a Director of Operation in 2006. Holds a Bachelor Degree in Law from Beirut Arab University, Lebanon.
Following Strategic vision and foresight has been instrumental in advancing the aviation industry and implementing state-of-the-art technology with safety and security performance in accordance with international standards.

HE Dr, Arif Sultan Al Hammadi

Dr. Arif Sultan Al Hammadi is currently serving as the Executive Vice President at the Khalifa University of Science Technology.
Dr. Al Hammadi is also the chairman of the board of trustees of the Emirates College of Advanced Education, a chair of the steering committee of the UAE Graduate Research Conference (UAE-GRC), and chairman of the executive committee of the UAE Advanced Network for Research and Education (ANKABUT).
Dr. Al Hammadi is also the founding chair of the UAE Mobile Application Contest (UAE MAC) and the chair of the steering committee of Khalifa Innovation Center. He is a member of the Emirates Scientists Council, a member in UAE Water Aid (Suqia), a member of the Sanad Aero Solutions, a member of the Academic Committee at Zayed University, a member of the Minister of Interior’s Award for Scientific Research, a member of the Armed Forces and Innovation Award and a member of the Hamdan bin Mohammed Award for Innovation in Project Management.
Dr, Al Hammadi is also a board member of ADNOC Schools, a member of the 4th Industrial Revolution Committee and a member of Emirates Innovation and Technology Center (ETIC).
Dr. Al Hammadi has published in a number of specialized conferences and magazines, and enjoys academic experience in teaching and research in several fields, including artificial intelligence and computer networks.
Dr. Al Hammadi holds a PhD in Telecommunications, which he was awarded from the Queen Mary University of London in 2000. He also has a Bachelor’s in Telecommunications Engineering with Honors from Etisalat University College-UAE (1994).

HE Alexandre de Juniac

Alexandre de Juniac became the seventh person to lead the International Air Transport Association (IATA) when he took on the role of Director General and CEO from 1 September 2016.
De Juniac has almost three decades of experience in both the private and public sectors. This includes senior positions in the airline and aerospace industries and the French government.
De Juniac served as Chairman and CEO of Air France-KLM (2013-2016) and prior to that as Chairman and CEO of Air France (2011-2013). Under de Juniac’s leadership Air France and Air France-KLM underwent a successful restructuring that improved efficiency and strengthened performance. He has also served on the IATA Board of Governors (2013-2016).
De Juniac has broad aviation sector experience, including 14 years at French aerospace, space, defense, security and transportation company Thales, and its predecessor companies Thompson-CSF and Thompson SA (1995-2009). In his last position at Thales, de Juniac was responsible for the company’s operations and sales in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.
De Juniac has also held positions in the French government. His career began with the Conseil d’Etat (State Council) from 1988 to 1993. Subsequently, he served in the Department of Budget (1993-1995); and in the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Employment as Chief of Staff to then Minister Christine Lagarde (2009-2011).
A French citizen, de Juniac was born in 1962. He is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique de Paris and Ecole Nationale de l’Administration. At IATA he works from both the association’s main offices in Montreal, Canada and Geneva, Switzerland.

HE Ingrid Cherfils

Ingrid has a Master´s Degree in International Law and European Law and a Postgraduate Degree in Litigation and Arbitration from the University Paris-II Assas as well as a Master´s Degree in Law from the University of Lund, Sweden. She started her career in the aviation sector in 1998 as a senior advisor in the Civil Aviation Administration and moved on to be Head of Unit Market and Safety Analysis and later on Head of Unit Legal Matters. In 2010 she took on the position as Director of Civil Aviation within the Swedish Transport Agency and in 2013 she became Director of the Civil Aviation and Maritime Department. As of 1 June 2017 she is Director of Strategic Development and Management Department and has been appointed Deputy Director General especially in charge with international coordination.
Since December 2014 she is president of ECAC (European Civil Aviation Conference).

HE Eng. Abdennebi Manar

Eng. Abdennebi Manar is the Director General of Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO). He obtained his civil aviation engineer’s qualifications from the National School of Civil Aviation of Toulouse – France (ENAC).
Prior to his appointment as DG of ACAO, he held several positions including Acting Director General of Morocco Civil Aviation Authority, Air Navigation Director, Air Traffic Director, Airport Quality, Security & Safety Director, Acting Air Transport Director, Morocco’s Representative at ICAO, ACAC Executive Member, Member of the Air Navigation Team of the Arab Maghreb Union and President of ACAO Air Navigation Committee.
